Welcome to Country Kennels dog boarding and cattery in Dorset. We are a family business who offer the very best temporary care for cats and dogs.
Our well appointed kennel blocks provide individual chalets with permanent outside access for our furry guests. We also offer shared accommodation for dogs that usually live together and would prefer not to be separated during their stay.
NOW OPEN! Our new, luxury Acorn block which has been designed by a specialist kennel architect is now receiving guests. The new block provides state of the art, individual, double glazed kennel suites with underfloor heating and optional raised beds. There are a range of single, double, and extra large kennels and some which can be adjoined to offer the flexibility of super-sized family kennels for dogs who want to holiday together! Regrettably we have had no choice but to increase our prices from April 2024 owing to the increased cost of all our overheads. Be assured we always strive to keep our prices as low and competitive as possible whilst maintaining our excellent quality of care.
Our cattery is currently still under refurbishment and we are hoping to open some time next year – apologies for any inconvenience.

Our dog kennels and cattery are located in a beautiful, rural location at the end of Newman’s Lane in West Moors, Ferndown, Dorset. Please continue right to the end of Newman’s Lane. As you can see in the map below we are located when it appears you can go no further! Please note, after periods of wet weather, the lane can be very “potholey”. If you choose, you can always park in the free car park at West Moors Memorial Hall and walk up the Castleman Trailway to reach us. It takes between 5-10 mins on foot and we are the first right after the wooden bridge (wellies are advisable in wet weather!).
